A very kind doctor who explains what he is going to do to help you in detail. Very reassuring when you are in theatre.

My treatment at Shepton Mallet Community Hospital on January 6th 2021for carpal tunnel surgery was excellent. All the staff who were part of my procedure were very caring, friendly informative and most professional. My special thanks go to Mr. George Tamvakopoulos. George first consulted with me in December on the telephone. On the day of my operation he went through the entire procedure with me, he was most reassuring. George saw me again today 1st March for a follow up appointment. I told George that there was no complications and that the pain at night and the tingling in my hand have vanished. Thank you George Best wishes to you and all the wonderful staff at Shelton Mallet Community Hospital. James Murphy

Very kind and compassionate manner. Took time to explain the problem and display my XRs. Understood the impact of my disability on livelihood and mental health. Willing to discuss treatment options and tailor care to my personal circumstances. Administered steroid injections very carefully to give pain relief and has arranged follow up.
